Za'atar is a restaurant concept that feels the most personal to me. As someone who grew up in a Middle Eastern household, I wanted to create a space that reflects the warmth and hospitality I have always known. Za'atar is a traditional Middle Eastern spice blend made with thyme, sesame seeds, sumac, and salt. Simple in its ingredients, yet full of depth, it became the inspiration behind the entire concept.

DOWNSTAIRS

The restaurant is divided into two distinct atmospheres. Downstairs is light, airy, and open. Beige, cream, and soft white tones are paired with marble, light wood, and interior greenery to create an environment that feels calm, welcoming, and alive.

UPSTAIRS

Upstairs, the experience shifts. Black marble, deep tones, and gold accents create a more intimate setting. The transition between floors is meant to feel like moving from day into night, while still holding onto the same themes of connection, hospitality, and shared experience. Za'atar is all about duality.
